Sorry mate I can't comment on that, it has something to do what some people do in the dark while I prefer lights on

Oh, well I sort of guessed that would be one clause;
but it's ok, no other details can be disclosed.

A labour of love.

But Steam was the only place I could get UBM.

Except for the part where Steam wouldn't talk to me. I couldn't download anything from them because I'm outside of their 'zone of influence'. Oh, I'm in Salt Lake City, Utah. I guess that's not part of the United States.

I did finally get it when SH4 Gold was released...on disc.

I would be paying almost twice as much than anyone in USA this way. This is bull.

Big differences between Steam and the new UBI DRM/OSP. It's one thing to annoy customers with some extra hoops they need to jump through (Steam). Its another thing to require a constant uninterrupted umbilical cord back to their servers. (UBI) VERY, VERY BIG difference!

As a frequent traveller (and travelling is when I have the time to play games the most), I can deal with Steam and the need for an occassional phone home to the Steam servers. The UBI thing however is a complete NO-GO.

Screw 'em! SH3 will live on!

Perhaps it wasn't as widely distributed on release, I had no problems finding it on Amazon for a little over £5, new and factory sealed.

You couldn't download at all? See, this is why I avoid Steam, they have such damned odd policies. Not to mention their rubbish distribution servers, which chug along like a dial up modem.

Nope. The only copy I could find was on Ebay. From Hong Kong. $30 US.

Then Gold was released and all was light and joy again.
