Its also highly unlikely that NASA would ever release any photo that confirmed aliens exist. While I don't know if they do or not, though I have my opinion, the reality is that Nasa has specifically avoided researching the most interesting leads for life outside earth. For example, its quite amazing that NASA chose not to investigate the so called "glass tunnels" of Mars, or the "face" on mars. Not that these are definitively of some alien origin, as they could be natural formations, but without checking (since modern observation has science still divided) - the debate will rage on. What about the pictures of Mars that appear to show forests at the poles? Do a search for trees on mars and take a look. A rover could go there and see - hey, are these some type of tree, or is it really a "dust" cloud as some theorize. We lack to tools to be sure from here - so sending a data gathering tool to the biggest question marks will provide better answers.

Yet Nasa avoids this. I for one would like to know why.
The face, known as the Cydonia-region, is pretty much cleared up, Haplo. If you compare photos from Viking in the 70s with HR-images of the formation taken in 2001 by Global Surveyor, you'll see that nothing is left of that "face" feature anymore. It was a combination of erosion and local light conditions at the time viking took the shot.

Similiar explanations can be imagined for the socalled inka City nearby. The mathematical encryption of stellar formulas and constants, as is being read into the geographic relations of sizes and distances within that "architectural" arranbgement, also probbaly is the result of low resolution images, light conditions, and overboarding fantasy. I admit that 20 years ago I fell for it myself, too, at least for some time.

Yes, indeed. The face on Mars is not as exciting when you see it for the eroded mesa it really is...

However, I love the conspiracy theory put forward by people who still believe in the face. They claim NASA nuked the site from orbit there by defacing the face.. Time to call in Corporal Hicks.

-I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

- ****in' A!

- Ho-ho-hold on, hold on one second. This installation has a substantial dollar value attached to it.

- Guys, it's just a rock...

- SWWWWWOOOOOSSSSSHHH KABOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!

- Sigh...

The Viking landers conducted a "test for life." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viking_1

NASA also detected methane on Mars, which could indicate the presence of life.

A NASA scientist stated that a meteorite from Mars may contain traces of life.

Finally, NASA and ESA are planning a mission to Europa.

There is no debate, and science is not divided on that issue. NASA publicized the original photograph, and it did eventually follow up on it. It wasn't a priority because they understand pareidolia.

Since the object is not flying, by definition it cannot be an unidentified Flying object. Therefore it must be the statue of Elvis formally located on the moon and knocked askew by the Martian monsoon. Sigh...

I found a can on the beach.

I didn't kick it.

It might be a little UFO with a big Death Ray.
