I certainly wasn't looking to discuss the forbidden topic. I am totally opposed to it.

Just wanted to ask about the means employed in SH5 to prevent it.

Fine line, I know, but worth raising I thought.

As you've not locked this thread or given me a slap I'm assuming it's OK provided we're sensible and take due care as mentioned in your post. I note Neal has also posted a thread about the 'issue'. Sorry if I'm leading anyone astray; certainly not my intention.

Cheers

you missunderstood my intention

this thread is fine, everything said so far is fine

i just wanted to remind anyone voicing opinions on the subject to remember whats ok to say and whats not ok to say on the subject

everyone has their own views on the topic and i dont want to slap a wrist or give infractions especially when someone is just giving an honest reply or opinion but my precationary post was to remind everyone not to be promoting or admitting to actually using no-cd cracks or admiting to using or doing something related to piracy

Yes I've been in the brig over this with SH3 and StarForce, I didn't like the food they served in there, especially the soup!

It took a mail to starforce to deactivate the copy protection provided you gave them the orginal code.
I see, thanks.

Wouldn't a system with a serial nr at installation be sufficient?
Paradox Interactive has done that for some time with their games.
