Congratulations & welcome to GWX! There will be no going back to stock now. I have dial up access to & was blown away by the sheer depth of the mod after someone was kind enough to mail it to me. It's been almost a year since I got 2.1 (I have 3.0 now) & I'm sure that there is tons of stuff that I have yet to see.

PS. That stuff wasn't included in the stock game because the developers were forced to get the game out ASAP (as usual)...

It's always great to see a happy customer

Enjoy the game. Sail to areas you haven't been before like the Black Sea and the Indian Ocean. Go to the East Coast of the USA, hunt for tankers around Cuba and feel the cold bitter nights of the Arctic Ocean.

In all Enjoy youe eXperience

Soooo...you eventually got the package

Be sure to play the mod using German speech and English text for the best possible immersion.

Time to become a real Grey Wolf.....but only when you know the difference between a V-1 and a V-2

SINK EM ALL!!

Again,I cant thank you all enough for your support.
Without blowing my own trumpet,and we call do sometimes I would have considered myself an intermediate to good player at SH3,maybe a little more,after all I have played it since 2005 now.This all changed last night,after my world was basically rocked by this experience.All that before was kids stuff,this is the real deal
There is so much I need to do/see,take part in,I can't wait.

I still get a bit choked by the intro music and some of the heroic footage in the background,that in itself gives you a complete package!

Truly excellent.

Oh and Jim,I love wolves,watching them hunt,and the pack behaviour they exhibit.Yes,time to bare them teeth for real now mate!

I hope to get a lot of action near the arctic,for some reason I have a special drawing to the arcitc areas of the world,love rough weather,snow,ice etc.Reminds me of what it must have been like for the Vikings as they thundered across the North Sea in their dragonships.Now that is bloody hardcore

Congrats on finally getting GWX. Sounds like you are really enjoying it.
The GWX team did a fantastic job on the expansion.

You mentioned long load times....
It is natural. There are soooooo many more units in GWX that the game has to load. When I first loaded a career after putting GWX2.0 on my computer, I thought something was wrong and thought that it crashed. It took about 15 minutes to load.
Thanks to this board, I found out that this was normal. My computer at the time was slow, so that didn't help. I did some upgrades and computer maintenance and that helped a bit but not much. With my new computer, I've cut the load time in half.

One suggestion, if you don't know it already, is to enable GWX-Lite Harbor(Harbour for you Brits ). It is supposed to help the load times. And make sure you don't have merged campaigns enabled-I bet that makes load times lonnnnnnnnng.

Enjoy the experience and keep us posted!

@Leandros,
That is postcard quality mate,any chance of sending me one next time you are up there?,i'll stick it on my bedhead in the captain's quarter

@OLC
Cant wait mate

@Contact
I cant imagine how they could better what appears to already be perfect , GWX 4 will probably come with added rain,so you actually GET wet playing it

@sharkbit
The loadtimes are long yes,but totally justified,as we both know the added units,skins,textures,sounds,code,etc ect is vast to say the least
Thanks for the tip about harbour traffic,performance is hit hardest in ports I have noticed,yet my PC still copes well enough,just an obvious fps hit,as most folk can account for also

Many thanks for the support
