@ Dan, playing chicken with these in the dark can be fun.
http://www.army.mod.uk/equipment/fig...cles/1475.aspx

@AVG, It was a nightmare in Iraq last year the air con was constantly full of dust and sand so had to be clean out almost 3 times a week if you were out on ops.; Even then it did not make much differnce, Due to the fact that the cab had a extra 3 ton of armour on. And it's so hot in the summer out there.

@Letum, That is what i drive at my normal unit im just on a 2 year detachment out here. But no doubt i think you could clock up a few laps of the only motorway out here.

The Ford Fusion Hybrid sounds like a nice car for people that can afford them, but what about the rest of us?

The experts during the last oil crisis said that even if America comes up with an energy saving plan that works that the price of gasoline
would then rise even higher due to the law of supply and demand.

In other words gas will still cost $5.00 a gal (in the USA) someday even with a hybrid

I must be pretty economical.

I can walk a mile on a small amount of gas.

I am glad Ford is moving forward with hybrid cars.

This is a parallel hybrid. There are also some series hybrids coming out in 2010 that also looking good.

Soon we should be seeing diesel electric series hybrids in automobiles. Then I will be most happy

I really think that diesel electric series automobiles will be great once the technology is ironed out.

Good going Ford!

Default Eco driving

Is that what’s also called “Hyper-miling”? Where the driver coasts, as much as possible when traveling downhill;
turns the engine off when at traffic lights and/or while in fast-food drive-thru’s;
setting cruise-control not to exceed 57 mph on highways;
gentle braking, coasting to all traffic stops; etc? (the list goes on.)
