seems as if i'll just have to hold my breath when another aircraft comes buzzing by lol...cause by the time i pick them up on radar or visual, they're already on top of me swooping in for the kill while im still diving, which the IX seems fun, (extra torps and range) but the dive time is just too slow for me. Also another question, I've never used it, but everyone here seems to give the idea that the IXD2 is a death trap...whats different about it compared to other IX types...longer dive time? JC.

IXD2 has a 42 second dive time. Yeah, that's a pretty good day for any Allied pilot when they see your big fat arse taking 3/4s of a minute to even get under.

IXD2 dives like a crippled whale, but has incredibly long range. Running decks awash should cut down on the time it takes to submerge, but you'll still probably take a good half minute or so.
