It just so happens that my missus came across this last weekend and we picked up a couple of bottles. I'll have to try it and see what we think!
Although I don't drink now I can still remember this quality drop years ago. I used to buy a case of this upon release every few years. Used to be priced around AUD $40 per bottle. Yep it's not cheap. Is best left in the bottle for a couple of years minimum and cellars well if stored correcly for +8 to 10 years or so. Enjoy.

The meat is about as lean as it comes. Only needs to be seared for a few minutes. Overdone Kangaroo is not good. Cooked right as it is yummy.

If I manage to obtain some I will give a complete report!

Meanwhile if you Aussies can get your hands on some Bison I recommend you give that a try as well.

I used to hear of people "Boxing Kangaroos". Is this still done? This would be a great resteraunt gimmick where the Roo where a sign that says, "If you can beat me, you can eat me".

Not to my knowledge. Roos still box one another in the wild though. This is part of their natural behaviour as a mating competitive ritual between rival males trying to impress and hang on to their harems.

You do not want to get in the way of their hind legs though. They are strong beasts and have been known to really pack a punch if kicked where it hurts!
