No offence to Ms. Hudson, but if were an academy award winner, my Mother would not be living in that dump...

I'm sorry, but your idea about what goes on in Chicago is about as relevant as my idea as to what kind of trees to plant in Norway. Case closed.

No it is only closed in your mind of questionable openness Subman. He has just as much to say about guns from Norway as I do from Shreveport.

The "Fear" that we will adapt gun policies of other nations is no instant shutdown for discussion of guns since it was YOU who decided to inject politics into this.

The final word goes to the supreme court on the matter of the legality of guns BTW.

And they ruled in our favor. Also, since he is not privy to the environment for which we live, he cannot know either.

I'm at the point right now, if everybody wants to run around like the wild west, have at it. Just found this quite interesting where our infamous "reverand" Jesse Jackson just got involved:

Quote:
Balfour's mother said her son and Julia Hudson were separated and that Donerson had thrown him out of the family home last winter. While standing outside the Wentworth Area police station Friday night with Rev. Jesse Jackson, Michele Balfour denied that her son had anything to do with the slayings.

Family members said she spoke with him Friday afternoon and he seemed as if he had been sleeping. There was no trace of panic or anxiety in his voice, they said.

"I didn't raise no murderer," Michele Balfour said. "He was not a child abductor. They have the wrong person."
Wentworth Area detectives were handling the investigation.
1.Mr. Jesse Jackson
Nothing about the victim's of this horrible tragedy, no words of comfort, no pleas for the missing 7 year olds whereabouts. Didn't say ****, but stood with the offender's mother.

Break down a bit more about Michelle Balfour's statements.

2. "I didn't raise no murderer" Actually by semantics alone, she is correct. By definition she raised a mass murderer. More than 1 murder victim at the same location by the same offender is considered a mass murder.

3. The use of "was" in the role of a child abduction. His criminal history does not indicate this. So she again is correct. Though I will strongly argue that a child abduction is still in the commission stage until there is a resolution. Meaning the remains are recovered or the child is found and brought back to their parents.

4. "They have the wrong person." A logical ending to her argument if the proofs offered are true. But I will argue that a "heater" case will be followed closely to the numbers, no short cuts taken that will lose the case in court. Too many are following this case to screw it up.

Who's Jennifer Hudson anyway? :hmm:

After being a part of the news for so many years, I have long since removed my need to read it or watch it.

As for poor Chicago, Its a big city. Like most big cities its a festering wart on the ass of society. A giant cancer deep inside the colon. After walking those same **** covered streets in my precinct I can tell you violence cycles like a roller coaster. And is dependent on numerous factors, sorry to say, not just gun laws. (BTW I am totally pro gun ownership).

Give you one quick example to avoid a biblical novel...

When I 1st arrived in 1994 at the 75th Pct. in Brooklyn's East NY, the Precinct motto was "You give us 22 minutes we'll give you a homicide". At the time the 10 mile square pct. boasted a compliment of 425 police officers and led NYC in homicides, I believe 192 that year. But it was attributed to crack cocaines upswing. Now you can go down the same war torn streets and all is much much quieter. But this crime drop didnt have as much to do with NYPD's efforts as it did with crack losing its popularity. In fact nowadays in the same area crack dealers are near extinction and are not as well off moneywise.

I am sure if you check up on Chicago's viloence upswing there is something at the root of it not just a "Yo lets cap some ol' bitch and test out my new gat."

As for Norway.. I bet ya its real pretty up there.

You do have a valid point about street violence. This case is domestic, in which, we really do not have much of an effect to prevent it. We can't sit in someone's domicile 24/7 to make sure that an argument does not turn into crap.

You forgot Vienna hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, Italian ice, putting your money on a bar w/out it getting stolen, Eli's cheesecake, Dick Butkus and the 1961 Chicago Blackhawks....

They recovered the vehicle listed in the AMBER alert. Unfortunately a young male's body was found inside of it.
