It's the other way around. Repairs will be made even without the DC team, but at a much reduced rate. The compartment crew works only on the damaged parts in their compartment. As the manual states, the compartment crews will do what's necessary to save their own lives (if possible.) The DC crew works on the priority list and will move to any compartment required. You can improve damage repairs by transferring healthy, high rated crew into the most damaged compartments and injured crew out. As others have stated, keep the DC crew slots filled with high rated mechanical/electrical crew for max effectiveness. -Pv- |
