Not sure, since it's the Atlantic I've resolved in my mind that there is no such thing as a pleasure cruise.

With the malfunctions and I know SS will have a more definitive answer for you but in my experience, the potential for something going wrong happens anytime you load up the game via sh3cm. My favorite is ordering ahead flank and you actually slow down. Not much fun when you're evading a wasserbombe run......

SH3Commander 3.1

I don't understand why someone can play SH3 with or without the patch1.v4b,
when there is GWX2.0 and GWX2.1 with JSGME+SH3Commander 3.1:hmm:
GWX2.0/2.1 is a whole new world
And think of those wonderful Mods there is .Those Modders have sacrified their own speartimes , they have made those mods for everyone to use , and it is totally free
think about that My self , I think I owe them to play the GWX(not only) because they have sacrified soo much of their time ,blood sweat and tears
They have thought that they want to please everyone who is willing to play SH3
SH3Commander3.1 is a tool you never can do without ,and neither the JSGME .IT'S A MUST HAVE I personally will never forget you guys that made the GWX so we all can have a joyful times to play the worlds best game :

"SH3 with patch 1.v4b +GWX 2.0+GWX 2.1+JSGME+SH3Commander3.1"
So to all newbies outhere : Get your ass in gear and download the GWX prompt
Stop kidding around and join us that have played this game for a while

Though I'm sure that you didn't mean to be offensive, you should keep in mind that, because of our budgets, some of us are still using dial up connections & trying to d'load GWX with dial up is next to impossible. I know that because it would have taken me well over 24 hours just to get the 2.1 update. Fortunately some people here were kind enough to send me both GWX 2.0 and the 2.1 update on cd and dvd. When Paul wants GWX I'm sure that someone will be nice enough to mail him a copy...

Dont worry about me murr,I have drunk far worse at my local pub!
People dont seem to realise that just because someone hasnt played/installed GWX and all the other add ons out there they are bloody beginners to SHIII/naval combat and or history,or even worse that they are damn noobs! *I HATE that word!so immature*
At the very LEAST use proper English!.
I have played SHIII since its release in 2005,or thereabouts, and yes, someday I WILL get the other mods.
In the meantime starlion,i'm sure you werent trying to be funny with me,so no offence taken,I just thought I had to step in there.

Hey jim,hows it going.

Nope,I dont think I need any files just yet,as I have just started a fresh career earlier using Commander, with all major realism settings enabled, and to be honest I seem fairly content at the moment.
You did mean the GWX files etc?.Honestly, the more I think about it,I dont know mate, what do you think I should do?.As I say I have just left port about 1hr ago and dont wanna have to go back again
A few new mods would be nice I suppose,to compliment the few I already use, like improved flags, emblems, improved smoke etc.

I'll leave it up to you mate,I still have a lot more to learn when it comes to enhancing the stock game.

Let me just clarify one little thing here, the GWX and all the others (there seems so many out there) they can all be installed over the Commander 3.1 add-on?.It is precisely this aspect of the modding process that confuses me the most.

As always,I thoroughly thank all the help I am getting here

No prob Paul...drop me a line anytime.

Sh3 Commander is a standalone programme/separate installation and does not interfere with your game/mod.

Do you play with NYGM? WAC? Do you play at 100%? Do you use Rubini's Lifeboats mod? Waterstreams? Racerboy's Exhaust Smoke? Sergbuto's Camera Mod? Longer Repair Times? If not, then everything you just said applies to you as well.

Everything is ok now,it was a simple misunderstanding, easily done.Lets get off this now.

Starlion, dial up is ancient. It was the original way to connect to the internet in the early days. You use an internal modem, which then dials a number given to you by your ISP,and then you connect. The speeds are very poor compared to digital subscriber lines these days, like Broadband,DSL etc.
To give you an idea of how bad it is,the other day I downloaded Commander, which is about 25-30MB?,that took about 1.5hrs to dl,whereas if you have a high speed connection that would have took about 5mins,or even less.

I consider myself as having a good system, which I built myself I might add,but with a serious bottleneck, the V92 modem, which at best manages about 48-56kbps (kilobytes per second),not even a fraction of a megabyte as you can see.

And dont apologize for being Norwegian man,I quite like Scandinavians, especially the Vikings and Valkyries!
HAIL THOR!

Can't blame a guy for being a fan. Well, I can, but since you feel so strongly about it...I'm a GWX user too, I just realize there are a lot of other cool mods too.

No 'just' about it. I'm currently reading an English translation of the Vinland Sagas - the original stories of Erik the Red and his son Leif Ericsson, and how they colonized Greenland and discovered America 500 years before Columbus. You guys are hardcore!
