I listen to LOCAL talk shows mostly. National ones are a turn off for me since they seem to have the cream-of-the-crop of nut cases "talking".
I NEVER listen to any music channels any more while driving.

Same for me. On my drive in I listen to liberal talk radio. On my drive home I listen to conservative talk radio. Helps keep me informed. Every once in a while, I say to heck with it all and listen to ESPN Radio. But never do I listen to music over the FM dial. Same 5 songs repeated over and over....blecht!

I dabble with NPR and when I really want a fix of crazy conspiracy bs WBAI. I have a hour commute one way so there is plenty of time to get into something good if the topic is interesting. If not there is always the Ipod!

I can't even vote. I don't listen to the radio at all. I don't enjoy talk radio and my musical interests are way too extreme for the ulta-mainstream radio stations around here.
I've even tried satelite radio (Two different companies as a matter of fact) and even their "alternative" and "punk" stations were way too mainstream oriented for me and what they called punk on their punk stations wasn't really punk.. it was skater music. The "Alternative" stations all played what would be termed as "EMO" wishy washy stuff now. I guess it's a sign that I'm getting old.

Although I prefer English cultural out-put, I do enjoy the News from Lake Wobegon on the BBC on what we English call "Garrison Keillor's Radio Show" and the Americans call "A Prairie Home Companion".
