So, I know there's now a keenness to add the full U-boat war into SH4, but has anyone actually looked at whether there's a possibility of adding British or Dutch submarines? I mean, if we can add a playable enemy, we must be able to add another playable ally or too...mustn't we? :hmm:

Yes please ever since I was 9 and just read Unbroken by Capt. Alistair Mars I've wanted to see a game that had British subs. Playable Allied subs as well would be great!

I dont think scripting the campaign would be terribly difficult (though time consuming). Trouble is, lack of 3d models, and one bug that, if not fixed in the uboat add on could be a show stopper to some degree.
When i was scripting missions for "SubRon 50", i noticed that after a certain latitude, the game woudlnt acknowledge the mission, and i think CTD'ed. This was awhile ago, so i dont remember exactly. All i do emember was that i was scripting a patrol mission past the East of the north sea sea through the channel there thats enroute to kiel and the game really gave me fits tell i moved it to another location. |
