I attempted that as well. I TC on the surface all night, the CO2 climbed. Perhaps when the CO2 icon pops up and you finally decide to surface, the icon needs to be clicked so you surface thus venting the boat? Not sure and I will attempt that as well. I'm at about 44% CO2 level now but my men are not turning green so that is a good thing.
AVG, is this happening to you in a Fleetboat or just the U-Boats? I have the add on but have yet to install it, just waiting on the mods to become compatable which they seem to be.

Well I got the CO2 bug again. I was submerged in a u-boat and had to alt-tab out of the game for a few minutes. I paused the game, pressed Esc to get to the menu, then alt-tabbed. When I got back into the game a few mins later I resurfaced, and noticed a while after this I was very slowly accumulating CO2. I then submerged, saved the game, exited the game to the main menu, and reloaded the save I had just made. Resurfaced, all my CO2 disappeared.

I have since tried to reproduce this, alt-tabbing while on the surface and also submerged and it hasn't happened again, except oddly enough, now when I submerge I don't build up any CO2 at all.

Hey guys, I posted this thread (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=132775) where I had the C02 bug.

My .02...

My patrol started at Pearl with a 48hr troll in the Celebes. I worked my way down, sunk some shipping, yadda ya. I was damaged. I had batt damage which is the worst since I have to micromanage it. Along with that, what I can remember, was hydrophones, both guns, planes, the deck attack scope, and electric engines. I refitted at Brisbane and took off for the Gilberts via the Solomans.

I saved as I left Brisbane.

After I passed the Solomans, dinking and diving, I took the stretch to the Gilberts. Somewhere after that, I got spooked by an aircraft and dove again. It was when I rose that the C02 hit. I hadnt saved since Brisbane. About 20 min real time.

So, I dunno, just adding my chips to the pot as it were. The fix I found is in that thread.

After my save and restart, the CO2 level was at zero. I still have not put my finger on the way to make this issue go away. Maybe it is the beans they are serving in the galley all the time.

But sometimes i get another issue that the CO2 never raises up and i can
stay submerged for months if i dont move

Since the update, the crew seems to forget some essential things:
1) Go into the sub when diving - perhaps they invented a special snorkel?
2) Open the hatches after surfacing - ok, they are afraid of fresh air ... must be IT-Pros :-)

I think, the problem is inside the depth-trigger. These features happen at my computer, when using time compression while dive and surface procedures.

This is not encouraging me to install this thing. I've had it since day one but I was waiting on the mods. Now that they seem to have cought up, I've just been waiting to get a little farther in my career but I keep hearing about bugs and complications. I will probably never play as a U Boat so currently, I have a great sim that I don't want to mess up.:hmm:

Maybe things will work out in a week or two, meanwhile, I can keep plugging away at my career. (I've never made it to the end) Eventually though I will have to install it because all the modders will be building for 1.5. I suppose putting it into perspective though, this is really small potato's.

Got the CO2 bug again last night. This time the crew would not go to the watch positions. It was still as if I was submerged. I tried different depths and back to the surface again with no luck. It took two save games, exits, and reloads to get the crew and CO2 back to normal.
This was with an US campaign with no enemy units, rough seas, no land in sight, and on the surface save game. (note that I was getting a depth of 20 meters message in the rough swells). Also I use a slightly higher wave amplitude.
