Neighbors and their sexual encounters.

Seriously, I like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. I don't have any particular taste. Anything that is pleasant for my ears.

That makes 2 of us (36 also). I listen to old Metallica, old Slayer, Pantera, Mudvayne, Slipknot, among others. My Son and I started playing guitar together (he on guitar, myself on bass) a little over a year ago, and we've been playing Megadeth, Saliva, Slipknot, and Puddle of Mudd a lot lately.

I like a lot classic music, specially piano. My list of favourites is:

-Piano concert nº 1 Rachmaninov
-Piano Concert nº 1 Tchaikowsky
-Piano Concert nº 1 Schumann
-Nocturnes from Chopin
-Impromptus by Schubert
-Piano works by Beethoven
-Some works of Mozart (Nice but a bit too "soft" for my taste)
-Violin Concert Vivaldi

Of course Artur Rubisntein on the piano is a guarantee of the best result in any of those works

And a lot of other works from the mentioned classics plus some more, like Cesar Frank, Davorak, Listz...

And music from the 80s, mainly disco and also U2, Dire Straits, ...

In my younger days I was a fan of what is now called classic rock. Now pretty much all I listen to is good old American Blues:

BB King
Pinetop Perkins
John Lee Hooker
Robert Cray
Albert Collins
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Muddy Waters
Buddy Guy
Duke Robillard
Koko Taylor
Susan Tedeschi
Robert Johnson
James Cotton
...and so forth

Default The Music Thread

Hey folks, thought I might start this thread so's you can post about your favourite music, band, singer, and anything else, and perhaps convert some people to liking them too!

Me to start (an aquired taste, be forewarned :P)

Kraftwerk:

(JPEGs)
70's Years
80's Years
90's Years
Today

Official Site: www.kraftwerk.com
Best Site: www.kraftwerk.technopop.com.br

I like Kraftwerk primarily because they're a breath of fresh air from all of today's sound-alikes. To this date, no-one has been able to reproduce the kind of sound Kraftwerk do, and they've been around for over 30 years. What does that tell you?

Their first major break in the US and UK markets was ' '* in 1974, which lasted a mammoth 12 minutes (it was actually designed for long drives), but their only number one was with in 1978, as part of their famous 'Man Machine' album

Give them a listen, and try to appreciate true music pioneers, before someone comes in and says something about Nirvana being revolutionary

*And by the way, that isnt the original version, I couldnt find one without a crappy voiceover
