I've actually just installed an Formula 1 sim (running F1 Challenge modded up for the 07 season) and the only way to get it to work on Vista is to run it in Windows 98 compatability mode.

I am shocked and saddened that ubi doesn't support my Voodoo 2 graphics card.

That thing is boss.

The sim runs nicely on W2K, no thanks to UBI's "requirement"!
I would guess it may run, (although a little slowly), on a 5700 board.
The 5700 was a considerably more capable card than the infamous 5600 flop.
Don't have a '98 rig to try it on, but doubt things would go well.

So, no, you can't run SH4 on Win98 (or Win2000). Sorry about that.
Im sure SH3 can be run on Windows 2000 Professional with SPK 4 update:hmm:

Edit: just read the above post.

No it doesnt just refuses to install on Windows 98SE "wrong operating system error" , unless theres a way around it.

Maybe try an NTFS format of 98se, with memory tweaks in place before attempting install?
