TM1.7.6 + ROW + RSRDC...Another Day, Another Mod Order Change....? - Page 2

A short time ago I had a CDT while running ROW/TM/RSRD basically in the order you had posted here for me.
I did have 2 extra mods- greenLamp and the Captain radio mod.

I cant really say what knocked me out, because vista wanted to send an error message to bill gates. hope he gets right on it!
but
i went looking through the mod posts and found the following listed in the install notes for TM for 1.4:
"19.) Can i run ROW with TMaru?

Yes. All row is compatible with TMaru, although i must caution against "ROW_Sub_Reflections_and_Roll_Pitch_vs_5", as the majority of the files in that particular ROW mod overrite many crucial settings in Tmaru. If you feel confident in removing conflicting files from this mod, id recommend in just using the submarine.dat files from that particular mod. The rest of the files have been intergrated into Tmaru."

So, I reset jsgme with TM first. ROW next and RSRD and lastly the addon for reflections.

I have a question and a noobie observation:
Doesn't jsgme load from top to bottom?
isn't TM and RFB primarily for gameplay?
isn't ROW for graphics?

So, those being true, would it be correct to figure loading ROW after TM and RFB
so the user would.nt lose ROW's eyecandy?

After just 2 days staring open-mouthed at this sim. It is kick-a*@. just awesome!

G'day Warlimont, cant say what may have done that CTD on you but I did modify my ROW Sub Reflections file as per Ducimus' TM FAQ (ie take out all the files except the DAT ones) and I have not had any problems at all, but I am still confused as to the order, TM, RSRDC then ROW, or ROW, TM then RSRDC (RSRDC always has to be after TM, that is a given).

I'd start by removing the radio mod, since it's known to cause CTDs.

Ok, after looking at a few other threads, and thanks in particular to Wilcke, I have adjusted my Mod layout on JSGME yet again. Turns out most of ROW is in fact included in TM 1.7.6, so only a couple of files are needed from ROW. So here is my new JSGME, I have been on patrol for outta Pearl for a short time now and no problems at all. Re: the Radio mod, the one I am using is a heavily modified one and I have had no problems at all with it so far.

Thank you very much for this thread. Can you keep it up to date as new ROW stuff comes out? I'm still a little confused as to what parts of ROW are in Trigger Maru 1.7.6, and what needs to be added over top.

Also, if you plan on adding NSM4 to the mix, please add info for that.

Heres my latest JSGME loadout Powerthighs, it includes Krillers Pacific Environment Mod and NSM v4. I have started a new career with this setup and have had no issues at all so far. Only thing I changed was Duci's TM 1.7.6 airstrike.cfg to lower the night attack modifier to 0.0 to stop the night aircraft attacks. Cheers.

While I know how to use windiff, it quickly becomes difficult to keep track of what parts of ROW are included by TM, etc. This is great info!

One more thing, over in the ROW thread they indicate that the ROW Addon is no longer needed if you are using the Pacfic Environment Mod.

Thats correct, Pacific Environment Mod overwrites everything in the addon mod, im just too lazy to take it out...... :rotfl:
