hay BBW

is it possible to trick the game:::: example::::: i don't think SH3 stock has random pick up for carriers. could a person rename the carriers as say a English battleship and cause it to show up randomly. and if so what would you rename.

Stock SH3 does have generic entries for both carriers

Type8=Escort Carrier
Type9=Fleet Carrier

More of the escort carriers than fleet ones

You wouldnt need to rename it but retype it

Type=9 to Type=11 fpr both cfgs
Only for new units though as if you change models already in game they will be on the campaign layers

Change say the Bogue to a Type=11 and unless you alter the campaign to suit the game will CTD

ok thanks a lot BBW, i thought i read somewhere that the stock didn't pick up random carriers.

Yep - but only for Britain and US
Battleships too - but only for Britain and US

As they were the only countries on release with those units
