Bah, I think its funny just for how everyone gets bent out of shape about the Nazis. We know they were evil, they lost, we won. Why do we give a crap about its casual use so much?! Like it or not WW2 and Hitler and his goonies have influenced our culture so much in the last 60 years we wouldn't recognize ourselves without them, and thats not just serious appreciation for human suffering kind of influence.
We use Hitler too often as an example in our arguments. People worry about Hitler being taken too lightly by those making casual jokes, but those that evoke Hitler in their serious arguments from nowhere I think do far more harm to our memory of those events than any poorly conceived joke. |
