I think Racerboy means he can adjust the zoom in all that range, in 0.1x increments :hmm:

And yes, zoom in real life scopes was only two positions, not progressively incremental

Sorry for the delay....I don´t find SH disc. Gunsight was a circular reticle with two wheels for angle and range. Handling both wheels has better precision. It had four zoom positions in game.

Oh, I already said it in other topics: Realism is nice and I like it, but not every realism item is directly portable to a game -which has constraints- and not every not-historical item is necessarily a step backwards. If you had a good idea and it could come up with a nice result, then go for it, don't let historical accuracy hold your creativity.

What I was doing was giving the attack and obs scope variable power. So you'd be able to select between 1x to 10x (for obs) in 0.1x increments. I was doing the same for the attack scope also (up to 6x). In addition I was also making the UZO and binocular variable power.
What's everyone's take on this? Should I continue with making variable power scopes and all? If not, should any of them be variable power? It's really cool to use the variable power scopes...

Personally I think that doing that with the bridge binoculars (Not with the UZO, though) would be really cool, as in fact sometimes Kaptain binoculars had a zoom of 10x, and some advanced binoculars are more or less regulable.

So I say: Go for it in the binoculars

Yes, this is what I was looking for, but I'm still looking for a nice moon. Does any of you have a better moon?
