The firewall may be preventing others from hooking up because its seeing it as an intrusion to your system. So either turn it off, or lower the setting.

Which port should i be running the server on UDP or TCP

Did this not come with a setup instruction manual of some kind?

You only have two choices UDP or TCP - that means 50 50 of getting it right if it were me Id go with TCP first as most servers usually are TCP - failing that try the other one, and if that fails go back to the start and try again till you get it right.
