But wouldnt the glass be 90 deg to what this mod has? And has anyone seen what it looks like through a U-Boat obs(ie pic of personaly)?

I haven't seen any photographs of the look through an observation periscope yet. But the angle should be right as this is the same shape as the 3D model of the obs scope looks from the outside in SH3.

Those shape one looks at the above screenshots is not the shape of the ob scope's head in SH3 but the shape of the lens at it's front.
At least I'm pretty sure about that but I will check it in a few minutes. Wanted to play a while anyways

Yes. You just need to make 2 little adjustments in the menu_1024_768.ini and copy 2 additional tga files into the ...data\menu\gui folder. There should be no interference with any other (super)mod which doesnt try to edit the peri screen also . It's all in the readme .

Any chance that this can be done using Oakgroove's 'Bordinstrument' textures instead of stock SH3 material?
