One Tupperware-point for you.

they are probably amateurs with British passports, and probably with a background of well-functioning integration. They must not belong to al Quaeda, but they probably got the order to strike from Al Quaeda, maybe even from Allah himself.

Instead of making Rushdie a knight, we should have beheaded him. Then they would have struck us maybe a year later, but at least not during the summer vacation. As if this summer hasn't already had enough bad weather - and now this!

In London. One word: yuck! Rained all day.

Though I do like the cooler temperature.

Any, back on topic: this surely also has to do with Paris Hilton's release. I can just feel it in my bones.

Back OT....It's now being reported that one of them had some kind of belt attached to them when they were taken to hospital. Why not tie them to the back of a tractor in a field on a 200' leash and rag em around a bit and see what happens?

To clear explosives off the body of terrorists, I recommend German mine sweeper "Keiler" with a clearing efficiency of 98%:

(skip the first third of the movie if it is too long for you)

Tony Blair has launched a powerful attack on 'absurd' British Islamists who have nurtured a false 'sense of grievance' that they are being oppressed by Britain and the United States.

'The idea that as a Muslim in this country that you don't have the freedom to express your religion or your views, I mean you've got far more freedom in this country than you do in most Muslim countries,' Blair told Observer columnist Will Hutton, who presents the documentary.

'The reason we are finding it hard to win this battle is that we're not actually fighting it properly. We're not actually standing up to these people and saying, "It's not just your methods that are wrong, your ideas are absurd. Nobody is oppressing you. Your sense of grievance isn't justified."
Blair held out the example of the overthrow of the Taliban in Afghanistan - criticised by Islamists as an example of the heavy-handed imperial West oppressing Muslims - to highlight unfounded claims of grievance. He asked how it is possible to claim that Afghanistan's Muslims are being oppressed when the Taliban 'used to execute teachers for teaching girls in schools'.

A good start would be relocating intel and airport security staff to traffic duties.

Yep I'd settle for that

This has probably already been posted, but it looks like the arrests are continuing. Good to see that whoever else helped in planning this is also being taken off the streets fairly quickly as well.
