If this "gold" release includes seprate dvd's then we should be happy this product helps keep the game alive.

If it is something of a combined release then you guys can claim greatnesss to what ever mod you feel is best, some things never change. I think your forgetting about a possible influx of new players. These players may indeed browse this forum looking for help or support and other friendly players, not to be chastised for their choice or unfortunate distibution of x1 software.

If this release is seprate installs then there is an inconvenience of a series of uninstalls and reinstalls to get the game to par. If it is not then it may be to the benifit of any mod or modders here, GWX, NYGM, or WAC, to find out what difficulties there will be installing said selection over this 'gold' release.

so i guess that the people at ubi are not very informed of what is hapening around their products ... they would not have missed GWX and probably would waited for final GWX for gold release

thats what i would do

Ubi must be run by either the Three Stooges or the Marx Brothers

Have to agree with you, anything that gets people interested in sub simulations has to be a good thing. I to have to confess i bought the XI add on's. Not knowing at the time that they were other peoples hard work. But at least some good came of it as it led me to Subsim where i found the wonderful GWX team. and other great mods.

I would like now to take this moment to thank the whole GWX team and its beta testers for giving this old man many hours of pleasure. I am sure i can speak for nearly everyone who has had the pleasure and privilege of playing your great game.
From the bottom of my heart "Thank You Gentlemen for all your hard work"

The difference is, the modteams of the large mods did not release their work for commercial purposes like this gold edition and that's well.

The X1 AddOn's are meant for commercial purposes and therefore Ubisoft and Rondomedia can make profit with these AddOn's (independently of whether these AddOn's contain not approved contents and whether Ubisoft or Rondomdia have knowledge about that)

Gold Edition? No thanks.
I prefer to use things created by modders here. They are better, have more variety and I support all the effort put in each mod, big or small. Not to mention that it's free.
