@GlobalExplorer, Sh3Gen is troublesome though. Or rather, dotNET 1.1/2.0. Haven't got that working yet.

PS. Nothing quite like the feeling of limping the last few nautical miles to Helgoland on batteries, since the diesel doesn't even have fumes left. Damn north sea heavy weather mucking up all my plans!

Not unexpected .. However, I was told that Mono runs dotNET Apps pretty well under Linux .. though I must admit I have neither tried nor do I think it has a lot of appeal.

In fact I have gotten myself a bit cautious of MS and Windows, so the work I have done in the recent year has to a large part been platform independent C++ (Ogre3D, wxWidgets and the like). It is much more work and not so much a walk in the park like dotNET, but it feels right to go 100% with open source APIs, and it actually teaches me something new.

Good luck with your experimentation and dont forget to post because this kind of information interesting to me.
