You are the first to admit through your post that socialism is a religion and that Karl Marx is your savior. Before you counter my argument, with some back stepping on your position, if you liken your book to God's book then that is what you have done. In your mind Karl Marx is god.
I didn't say that. You are trying to infer a point by applying your own views to mine. I believe in one thing, you another. You, however insist on making it about religion.

The irony of saying that Socialism is a religion and that Marx is the God figure is just so delicious. If you read it maybe you'd know.

I still remember in the old days, before there were forums for tit-for-tat word mudslingings, we had jousting on horsies. :p

Darn it...at this point I'd post a clip to a film I had of British soldiers jousting in Shopping Trolleys in Basra...but I can't find the damn thing now! Isn't that just typical?

Soooo....

I've seen that one before, and it's good! Thanks for bringing it back.

As to changing topics, some people just aren't happy unless they make it about themselves (or their beliefs).

"A better Book"?? I'm so confused.

I saw the video and I thought it was very funny.

I must have missed the name of the book, I thought it was just a video of "how to read a book", not how to read a specific book. If I'm correct, then there can be no better book to compare to the one in the video because the book was not given a name.

I think this thread takes the award for going off topic in the fewest posts. :rotfl:

Lets me verify that.

1st post sets topic of how to read a book.

2nd post claims their religious reference guide (a Bible) is better than the unnamed book for which the title was not relevant.

:hmm: Yep, that's pretty quick :rotfl:

Why is it that we just can't have a discussion without some Christian shoe-horning religion in ?

If I want to know about it - I'll look ...... ok?

Careful there, I think he was Catholic, not Christian.

The video was very funny. Debating the differences of these 2 religions in not. Sooo, let's not go there.

You are absolutly right(apart from the fact IMO Catholics are Christians aren't they?)

It just annoys me, sorry for leading the topic off thread again

That was my point! But apparently its harrassment to point that out.

Maybe I should have just let him get away with it.

Has anyone noticed the parallels with computer tech support yet in the vid?

Yes, I did. That's why I thought it was so funny. I used to be a Tech Support Phone Rep for Gateway.

The video made me think of what it must have been like when the 1st book came out to the general public. I have no doubt, back then, (Book) Support made house calls.

I am sure even back then, there would be those that would rather go to Mac, the next door neighbor and have him read the book to them while the Book owner just dreamed, while looking through windows, of the day that he could turn the pages himself.
