(3600)(length of ship)/observed time in seconds/1852m=target's speed

So this method does not require knowing the range?

Since th game engine is from SH3, I was able to do the same thing but only with Auto-TDC on I tried this out. I was able to lock the target, but then unlocked it for fun, when I moved the scope ahead to shoot a torp, it ran in that direction just like in SH3. That way I was able to shoot at different areas of the ship in front of me.

Of course, I think it may or may not work if you are shooting at target way off to the side. I never checked.
