Does a Gato have two muzzle doors, outer hull,& inner muzzel? The breech door is in the torp.rm. When ordered ,open outer doors it was just the hull doors? someone set me straight here!:hmm:

Fleet boats had breech doors (to TR), muzzle doors, and shutters. Shutters streamlined the outer hull for greater speed.

For highly detailed specs and drawings of torpedo tubes see http://www.maritime.org/fleetsub/tubes/index.htm

Look under "Muzzzle Door and Its Mechanism" for details and pictures of shutters.

Ok, so can we find out how to do this in the game, or do we have to ask for it in a patch?

Recall people that in SH3 you have to uncheck "auto torpedo loading" in the torpedo management screen and flip open the switches yourself at one of the TDC stations or the attack periscope.

As in real life submarines, you will fire salvos the following way:

With a working solution:
- select tube
- apply spread (basically offset to the gyro angle)
- fire tube
- repeat for next tube.
