The best would be to set almost everything else to 0x in SH3Commander if one is to leave the game without pausing. For example if a ship is spotted TC drops to 0x. Would ofcourse be annoying during normal gameplay but for those who play only at 1x and don't wanna pause for leaving it'd might be a good thing.

On the other hand I've had a similar experience to that of ijozic, having attacked a large convoy, escaped depth charges with the last save several hours ago. And ofcourse, only to find out that I've left the cpu fan on too low rpm when the computer hangs up. So stupid. Automatic fan controller ftw.

I guess the Save and exit-button is for those who are paranoid for this sort of things to happen.:rotfl:

Man, I remember that darn key. Tap, wooosh, damn.....now they know I'm here.

A blonde was really tired of being made fun of, so she decided to have her hair she would look like a brunette. When she had brown hair, she decided to take a drive in the country.

After she had been driving for a while, she saw a farmer and a flock of sheep and thought,
"Oh! Those sheep are so adorable!"
She got out and walked over to the farmer and said,
"If I can guess how many sheep you have, can I take one home?"
The farmer, being a bit of a gambler himself, said she could have a try.
The blonde looked at the flock and guessed, "157."
The farmer was amazed - she was right! So the blonde, (who looked like a brunette), picked one out and got back into her car.

Before she left, farmer walked up to her and said.
"If I can guess the real color of your hair, can I have my dog back?"

dont feel bad, when i first got SH3 i recall playing SH2 i guess it was - i seemed to recall you could press the d key for DIVE and it would only dive in like 40 or 50 meter increments.

so there i am in my brand new type VII somewhere in the atlantic and im anxious to try the boat out. thinking back to wherever it was i got this 50 meter increment thing i hit the "D" key in the map view with 32 time compression on and flank speed.

just after that i go to the compartmen view at 32X compression marvelling at how cool SH3 is over previous versions

then the lights start to flicker and things dont sound good and i hear breaking glass and i look at the depth just in time to have the boat implode at about 220 meters!!

"#@%*!!!"

so... lesson learned.... dive by setting the depth from now on.

Personally, I never understood the humor in "Blond" jokes.

As for Penelope_Grey, I don't know what she looks like but I can say she seems 100% Natural.

I have always enjoyed her postings whether they'd be about Subs or comics.

She seems well versed in many things and if she does not know, she's not afraid to say so and even ask. I think she'll make some one very happy someday.

And before anyone thinks I'm kissing up to her, sorry, I live in Colorado so no chance for me. I just like her views

Some silly moments that I have suffered:

hitting the "ahead 1/3" button while in port, then switching to the nav-map to lay a whole lot of carefully planed way points and having the boat crash into something because you took to much time before actually giving the order to "follow set course"

Setting up your attack run by setting way points. Lining up your shot perfectly only to find out that your a bit too close. Giving the order to back up your boat thinking that it will do so in a straight line and having your perfect shot ruined by the boat turning trying to follow the leftover waypoints from before

Solution: don't use waypoints, navigate manualy

That's happened to me many, many times always hit the "rudder amidshps" button first.

@Gspector - I certainly wasn't having a go at Penelope, just having a joke. My ex wife was blonde and is something of a legend around here for saying "I might be stupid, but I'm not blonde" in an argument once
