You might not have seen this before, if you have Google Earth it is well worth checking out - the locations of WW2 u-boat final resting places. Quite sad to view, so many losses.

I think I read somewhere that the average U-Boat career on the front-line was 6 months, I think this was in Iron Coffins.

There are much more U-Boats sunk in the Canal, the Biskay and the ports than in open sea
