I have been down to 260m with the VIIC but any deeper than that and the boat started taking damage.
If you let SH3Commander randomize the crush dept you will never now without testing it, with your fingers on the s and e keys And you need some speed or you will continue to go the wrong way

Bit of both. It keeps me always guessing. If i'm ready to risk going deeper just to escape the DC's that keep falling closer and closer!
There's was a saying in one of those U-Books! "None knows the exact Crush Deepth of their Boot...and those who do, didn't come back to tell!"

I believe that a not every Boot has this much "luck" and good "Steel" to survive a crash down the Strait of Gibraltar.

In an undamaged boat you can usually rly on 250 metres or thereabouts. With a damaged boat "join the lottery"

I took my IXC to 290m once and without even realising it I've lost the boat, the crew, my career, my medals and my life

I was just put on a one way ticket to the bottom (planes jammed up). Exceeded 425 meters!!! Compressor damaged, intact, damaged, intact the whole way down. Nothing I could do but wait to die. I would post pics of this occurance, looks pretty cool in the dark and all, but I am not allowed to post attachments.......

I have been down at 240 meters in a VIIC (and got back up), my personal record.

As stated before, if the sub is damaged you dont really know what the crush depth is, it might be 160 meters, for instance.

I think that a Kaleun even with a brand-new sub should't dare to go too deep! Remember; everything thats beyond the green zone is a gamble game. Lookie at my sig.!

You'll never know if the pressure hull will give in! After all the breakdown will not come slowy but with a bang!
