Periscope view at night

What do you people do to see in good conditions with the periscope at night? I have always to turn the brightness up because i cant see a thing and its so hard do identify the targets sails at night. I need some advice

Use this one flag thingy to identify whose ship it belongs on top corner of the periscope view unless u dont have GWX on.

Always remember that you can switch to 10x magnification in periscope

I know that some people go to the external camera and move right up close to the ship as an aid to identifying the flag

Thats a cheat i only play with WE on but never ask him for a solution, i only ask him ship identification sometimes because im new to the game and sometimes i have difficulty identifying the boats especially the warships.

External cam is a cheat; so is 10x magnification. Real periscopes were very hard to see out of at night. This is why they attacked on the surface at night.
