Last thing before I die?

Usually it's blowing the ballast again.

Do you really think he could get that stuff to you out in SoCal in the few hours you have left?

Seriously i'd spend the time talking and calling those who are close to me to say goodbye.

I would never refer to this lovely as a 'what' but, damn.

(there had to be one to go this route & it was me, such a childish mind)

Failing that (and I would fail) the usual, say good by to loved ones, and probably make some phonecalls to the states with all the 'watch words' that the NSA/FBI etc are listening for. Try and watch them come after me.:rotfl:

Carry on

She looks a little white around the edges ...
Where did you two plan on spending the honeymoon?

I hope I never know I have just hours left...

In fact I wish to avoid the whole "I'm sick and dieing" routine.

I don't believe I could go through all the crap that comes with knowing your death is just around the bend.

I have an agreement with my family doctor. If I have some disease that's gonna break the bank and leave my family holding the bag... then do not tell me... just let me think all is well... that way I will just go till I can't go no more, then die in the Caribbean and have my sack of guts pushed overboard and a pint poured over me.
A fitting end to this wayward life.

He did look kind of calm ... Maybe it was his twin ...
How much time did he have after the Marines turned
him over, anyway?

Luke 9
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 15
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Death is the one thing that was never meant to be...and will be defeated in the end by LIFE.

What would I do if I knew death was eminent ?....Death is eminent. Perfect love is not made perfect in one who fears, and the only reason to fear death for me would be if I did not know for sure was was on the other side....but I do.

Let the dead bury the dead...indeed.

To me it depends more on the manner of death. And to be honest, the biggest wish for me would be having no clue as to when and how I'd actually die - and if I did, provided I could get over it quickly enough - maintain normalcy (or at least casual-ness) as far as possible, which for me is as exciting as life needs to be. If anything, I'd spend the time writing down, in as much detail as I can, any ideas and outlines for stories that I had in mind but which I never had a chance to finish.
In the event of nuclear war I want to die in a blast, screw burns and radiation sickness.
