May be it unknow fact, but IJN sub "I-19" in september 1943 was mod with replace 533-mm tt by 610-mm.

At Truk. LtCdr Kobayashi Shigeo (former CO of I-171) assumes command. (Kobayashi helped to adapt the IJN's 24-inch Type 93 "Long Lance" torpedo to the 21-inch Type 95 torpedo used by submarines.) "

Easy would be made addon japanese submarine as USSR submarine mod. UBI is't interesting soviet submarine. And after it start made this addon. In japanese submarine situation it.

The game is well along in development. Adding more subs, their interiors and a decent well thought out campaign to go along with it would only prolong the wait.

Agreed. However it would make for a great add-on if enough interest is shown. I'm all for that.

I'd play a Japanese add-on if one ever appeared.

However, I fear that the market research has probably been done on this subject which is why a Japanese sub sim has never materialized. Frankly, I'm surprised the Japanese have never tried to develop a sim on this aspect of WW2. After all...we never saw an WW2 Eastern Front air sim until a Russian (Oleg Maddox) tried his hand at it with Il-2 Sturmovik.:hmm:

Dream on...it's not going to happen. The amount of time and money needed to research Japanese submarine specs, technology, interiors, etc., would have to be recovered in a full-blown add-on at the least.
