Hmmm. I just noticed. Each map of Scapa Flow I have, has different numbers of ships in it. One has NO ships up at the top at all. But, I think the BB King George is in there somewhere, almost directly on a perpendicular line on my route coming out of between the sunk ships.

I wish I could get a map that shows the ships that would be in there on September 14, 1939 and where they are positioned.

I notice there is a small circle in each map in the middle of the harbour. Don't know what's that's for.

Default Map of Scapa Flow for 1939

When I opened the SH3 Editor. I set the time filter from the beginning of 1939 to the end of 1939 and the map came out significantly different.

There are only a few ships in the harbour and one, I think, is the Royal Oak, but the name is slightly written over by the name of another ship.

From the names I can make out there are the following: HMS Harbeldon (or something like that), HMS Cilicia, HMS Harderness, HMS Athersione, HMS B...eathro, and 4 un-named ships at the top and anotherone overlaying the name Royal Oak.

Do these sound reasonable?

Default I'm In

Well, I surfaced during the back night to renew my oxygen level and then went back to periscope depth. I've reached the top of the harbour and it is nowe 5AM and there is visibility. I see no Capital ships yet, but have seen Hunt I DD and Tribal DD.
