Sorry you can't play it frau it is good.

fastfed,
Some of them are but, alot are not yet. If you look through the SH3 mods forum, you should be able to find threads for them. Some of the ones on my list are like Frau's, where I combined mods together, or took bits and pieces of several mods to make one I liked.

Thanks HW3.. Sucks trying to find things.. Im always lost.. LOL..

Someone mentioned about the CORE essential must have mods.. Are there any? I mean besides GWX and commander.. What else would you/you guys, MUST HAVE?

I guess that would lead me in the right direction..

I know things like binoculars or dials are not a MUST have, but what about this mission order lite deal? Or the SH5 water?

THANKS AGAIN ALL!

Once you get tired of the immersion radio messages that come in GWX, WBNN mission orders lite has removed them leaving only the ones that are useful to you. SH5 water is nice to look at.

Thanks I installed the 20k version. Its running pretty good, except the horizon line looks a little jagged..

Question.. I had manosevironmentpro V3 installed , I installed the SH5 water and it didn't give me any conflicts but I thought I better not run both at the same time.. Is this a correct thinking? Thanks

There was a thread a while back in the Mods Workshop forum about running them both together to try and combine the best aspects of both:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=166933

I did it for a short time and didn't have any noticeable problems either.
Strictly speaking you don't need two environmental mods running at the same time, but if you find you like the effect you get from both and it doesn't break your game, it's up to you.

Keep in mind that whichever one you enable last will overwrite any of the files that the two mods have in common with its own versions of them, so enabling them in the opposite order might give you a different look that you like better. Can't remember which order was recommended but it should be there in that thread.

I've never not been able to see the UZO when I'm standing in front of it on the bridge, regardless of the enviro mod I've got. I remember people talking about how much darker the nights got when using some mods (and I think even installing GWX had this effect for some people) but that sounds like a bit much. You can try disabling both enviro mods and then re-enabling just SH5 Water to see if maybe there is something about the combo that's causing it... other than that, maybe someone else can pipe in from experience.

I've got a folder on my external drive where I unzip all the mods I download, so I can go in and peruse the files they add/use without messing about in any of my MODS folders in the program files. I've learned never to enable a mod without looking at what files it adds or (especially) overwrites. But then JSGME makes this easier, if I get a notice there that something from another mod is being overwritten and I wasn't expecting it I know I gotta go back and recheck some things.

I've manually edited the game's basic.cfg file so that never gets overwritten, if I have to make more edits for an additional mod I just do it manually (and like you I keep a copies of the original and all the edits, with notes about what got changed). More and more though I'm finding it easier to do those edits through Commander and let it overwrite stuff when the game loads, that way the file that's in the game folder is the original but all my desired changes are still there when I'm playing.
