Can we please move onto a new picture? I've seen enough pale white skinny cheeks now to feel like I've actually BEEN ON deployment on a uboat for two months

Actually I set the whole thing up as an experiment to prove my theory that dudes love wiener jokes.

NAILED IT!

Anyhooo...

Despite his staunch refusal to wear the costume, der Alte's performance as Juliet in the flotilla's annual Shakespeare festival always won rave reviews.

Given their relative positions I would have thought Werner was Juliet, but who knows how those crazy Germans rewrite these things?

Could be either. I remember the last scene in R&J well. Actually one of the few things I enjoyed reading in High school. Shakespeare was a brilliant author.

Yep. In the big death scene Romeo first finds Juliet "dead" and then kills himself. Juliet wakes up (having only faked her death) to find Romeo dead and then kills herself for real. So it could go either way.

Anyway it was much funnier IMO to imagine Prochnow as Juliet.
