Hello TheDarkWraith , if I increase the resolution of the dynamic shadows (decrease the horrible SH5 blurred shadows) automatically the range of the shadows decrease, therefore apparently I am not able (at the moment) to increase the resolution of the shadows and at the same time keep the wide range of the dynamic shadows, may be the only way is to tweak the code/algorithm of the SH5 shadows, below are the mods I use plus the modified shadows parameters, thank you for your Big help to improve SH5


If you increase the FarPlane parameter of the [Bridge] from (150.0) to (300) the range of the dynamic shadows increase but the resolution decrease, and I have no idea how to avoid this inconvenient

Hello tonschk!! How on earth did you get the detail on your deck?? Is it one of the mods?? I love the detail of the wood, I like the look on the conning tower as well, but the deck... How on earth did you get that??

I may have been used to looking at the deck from the bridge too much. It seems when I'm on the bridge, the view of the deck to the water seems almost two dimensional. However, after posting my question to you, I went back into the game and took a little walk on the deck during daylight hrs. The deck up close has a wonderful amount of detail (like what I saw in your pics, except my deck is lighter in color) it looks extremly real, but the further away I get, say back up on the bridge again, and it's back to that flat look.
Anyway, there's something that I can work on. It's not a real big deal, I just noticed the deck and features in your pictures and loved that look they have.
