Conservative MP Mark Menzies has quit his post as a ministerial aide after newspapers reported allegations by a Brazilian male escort.

Guilty why else would he quit?

Another MP who can't keep his willy under control.

So what is the issue with Menzies, was it the drugs or his rent boy being an illegal immigrant?
Or was it bringing a prostitute to the commons ?
I can't see it being the latter as parliament is full of people who sell themselves.

This is the latest poll for Euro elections

Labour 32
Cons 24
Lib Dem 11
UKIP 23

As for the local elections I think Labour needs to gain 4 to 6 councils of toffboy to stand a good chance of winning next years general election.

Reading this I can tell you I'm very glad that 5 years ago my wife and I emigrated to Australia.

It is odd to recall that in the UK 'Question Time', 'The Today Program (Radio 4)' and the news, of course, seemed so important at the time! I'm not saying it doesn't matter, or that I don't care for the terrible plight of the UK and Europe generally. But we saw it coming way back in 2004 and managed to get out by 2009. Just really happy to be gone.

We are Australian citizens now, and news from the UK is distant, infrequent and doesn't matter a damn. Wierd how things can change.

Nice one

My father had six siblings and five of them emigrated to Australia and New Zealand in the late sixties/early seventies which means I've a lot more family down under than in the UK, they and their children have all done well for themselves and I sometimes wonder if I should have.

Yes, I missed out on that....I believe private investors were limited to one or two thousand each so I honestly didn't think it would be worth my while.

Share values rose 38% on the first day so I regret not having bothered now.

Nigel Farage ready for 'ding-dong' in Nick Clegg TV debate

UKIP's Nigel Farage has predicted Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg will attack his comments about admiring President Putin when they clash in a second TV debate.

Mr Farage said there were big questions to be answered from the first debate and said he was sure "there will be a ding-dong" over his views on Mr Putin.

Mr Clegg has called Mr Farage's view of Russia's president "utterly grotesque".

The Lib Dem leader wants the UK to stay in the EU, Mr Farage wants the UK to leave. It is on BBC Two at 19:00 BST.

Should make for interesting viewing tonight

I asked the bookshop owner for the new book by Nick Clegg.

"I think I've sold out," he replied.

I said "that's the one."

Farage did perform better, but he was pandering to prejudice - it's what he does best.

The problem with UKIP is that most Scots see it as symbolising the "Little England" mentality witch gets up our noses! They tried contesting my local Westminster seat and did so poorly they lost their deposit.

Farage can stay south of the border as far as I'm concerned.

Mike.

Further south the better for me too, I this bloke is closet Tory and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.

Its funny, Farage doesn't sound like an English name.
Should the little Englander bugger off back to France?
