TarJak and the rest of the science team move Roman's body into a makeshift medical facility in the cargo bay and get to work on examining it.

"I just can't work this out. His body seems to be reverting to it's natual form."

Slowly but perceptably, Roman's elongated and pointed limb is shrinking and the digits of his hard begin to reappear.

"Can somebody get me something to drink? This is thirsty work."

*Goes and gets some bug juice and then gives it to TarJak*

"Now try to find out as much as possible because time is short and night is coming closer as we speak. I just hope we will be equally lucky next night."

TarJak gulps down the juice.

"Looking at the information we have I'm really in the dark about what is causing the transformation."

"The only explanations I an come up with a pretty unscientific. I'm not a believer in spooks or spirits, but something very unusual happened to Roman and made him somehow inhuman."

*bursts into the room, apparently unaware of the pages of print paper that are trailing from the heel of his shoe. *

"I just heard about Roman! Let me see! Let me see!"

"Oh my, this is......well, it is unprecedented! We must examine this specimen at once! Oh, my kingdom for a microscope! Tarjak, help me get this body to the examination tables! I think this will explain some of the confusing data we were seeing earlier..... oh but don't touch the affected limb! We can't afford any more contamination than has already taken place! Hurry! Hurry! There's no telling what kind of bacterial infestation this specimen may be suffering in this tepid hellhole!"

*Stirs from the table where he'd slipped into a restless, uneasy sleep. Hearing of Roman's death and what he'd become he shivers long and hard.*

"It's like something out of a Matelot's worst nightmares."

"TarJak seems to know far much more than he's saying. Something needs to be done."

Raptor is fine for my leader vote, not really any evidence to go on for the lynching. I can't quite work out the significance of the red gown, perhaps a clue to someone's name ? Abstain from lynch vote.

*Oberon jumps and smacks his head on the edge of the hatch.*

"OW! ****!!"

*He rubs his head and looks around.*

"Well...that's a relief, well, as much as a relief as this can be...damn those nightmares..."

*He shudders*

*He examines the wiring again and after a few minutes, traces a wire to a big black box, he taps the box with a screwdriver and then finds screws on it and undoes them. He lifts the cover of the box off and then yelps and swiftly puts it back on again.*

"Just as I thought..."

*He gets up and heads towards the mess hall, he hears of AVSM and Romans deaths.*

(to himself)
"AVSM is dead? Oh...oh...that's not good. Not good at all. Hmmm...and Roman some kind of tentacle monster...just like the one I saw...no...no, that's just not possible..."

*He looks around at the gathered men.*

"Raptor seems to be doing a good job as leader, well, better than the invisible Admiral did until he got killed...I still distrust Chad."

[Jimbuna]

Jimbuna steps up to the bar and pours himself a concoction (a mixture of all the different bug juice flavours/colours available) and downs the lot in one go.....*wipes his chin and burps*

"You know something?...If I were a detective in a previous career and looking at the deaths up to this period in time, I'd say seeing that the rescue team is now down to a 50% staffing level and apart from the Vice Admiral, the sub and science crews are pretty much at 100% staffing levels"

*Pauses for a few seconds to ensure he has all their attention*

"Now if I were a gambling man I'd say the rescue crew have been pretty much cleansed and someone or something is engineering peoples suspicions away from the real source of the threat....namely the occupants of the two remaining crews"

*He pours himself another large mug of bug juice and looks in the general direction of those assembled before him*

"Now who amongst the other two crews has yet to taste this vile sh!t?"

I honestly don't see the need to vote for a new leader unless the existing one is killed or steps down.
