Sunk 13 Dec, 1943 after a 32 hour-chase in the western Mediterranean in Bougie Bay, in position 37.38N, 05.58E, by depth charges from the US destroyer USS Wainwright and the British escort destroyer HMS Calpe. 51 survivors (No casualties). U-595 (Type VIIC) Sunk 14 Nov, 1942 in the Mediterranean north-east of Oran, in position 36.38N, 00.30E, by depth charges from 2 British Hudson aircraft (Sqdn. 608/C and D). 45 survivors (No casualties).

Scuttled on 24 Sept, 1944 in the Mediterranean in Skaramanga Bay, near Salamis in position 37.59N, 23.34E, after being damaged by US bombs. 1 dead, unknown number of survivors. U-597 (Type VIIC) Sunk 12 Oct, 1942 south-west of Iceland, in position 56.50N, 28.05W, by depth charges from a British Liberator aircraft (Sqdn. 120/H). 49 dead (all hands lost). U-600 (Type VIIC) Sunk 25 Nov, 1943 in the North Atlantic north of Ponta Delgada, in position 40.31N, 22.07W, by depth charges from the British frigates HMS Bazely and HMS Blackwood. 54 dead (all hands lost).

U-616 (Type VIIC) Scuttled on 17 May, 1944 in the Mediterranean east of Cartagena, in position 36.46N, 00.52E, after fatal damages from depth charges from the US destroyers USS Nields, USS Gleaves, USS Ellyson, USS Macomb, USS Hambleton, USS Rodman and USS Emmons, and by depth charges from a British Wellington aircraft (Sqdn. 36/K), in a 3 day-long action. 53 survivors (No casualties).

U-622 (Type VIIC) Sunk at 1400hrs on 24 July, 1943 near Trondheim, in position 63.27N, 10.23E, by US bombs during an air raid (8. USAAF).
