I finally got GWX2.0 working and I start out on my first patrol.
It is 0346 and in the external view so I can take a vid, I can't even see my U-boat it is so dark. I know my monitor was a little bit darker than the other guys, but at that time in the morning I still could see my sub using the "vanilla" SH3. I even think I was able to see my sub at night when using TGW (I think - can't remember, it's been so long ago). I hope there is going to be a fix for this, cause there is not much use of me playing GWX 2.0 when I can't even see at night. Yes, I have adjusted my monitor and video card upgrades so I can get the best view as possible. Also I read somewhere that you're are coming out with a "tail" fix? Can someone do something about the darkness in GWX 2.0? Please. I have a Seanix System. Rob Last edited by robj250; 12-16-07 at 08:11 AM. |

I'd like to keep my vanilla SH3 and GWX 1.03 (installed via MultiSH3) for the time being. I presume I would simply follow the same procedure with MultiSH3 for adding GWX 2.0 to the mix?

I got GWX 2.0 downloaded and it is awesome!!! I loved looking at the floating dry docks for some reason. Very cool. I don't remember where I read this, but it was earlier in the week. Someone had mentioned that the British subs in the Museum explode when viewing them. It seemed like some experienced this while some did not. Anyway, I can confirm I do experience this. It appears that it is a single explosion near the rear of the sub. I doesn't seem to happen again unless you click another object in the Museum and then go back to a British sub. I took a couple of screenshots. If this issues has already been addressed, I apologize. I haven't seen it anywhere. I am running a virgin install of SH3 with 1.4b and GWX 2. I am only using some optional mods included with GWX 2. They are:
Alternative Load Screen English Nav Map & Grid Refs Enhanced Damage Effects No Medals on Crew Das Boot main movie Merged Campaign 16km Atmosphere ![]() ![]() Also, does it seem like an excessive amount of bubbles with these subs? It almost reminds me of a sinking sub. |

Only happens in the museum
The museum is odd - doesnt show reflections either Altering the museum cfg to show the subs at a lesser depth makes no difference The explosion is due to the fact that the subs are submerged and the damage model is for a surfaced unit |

You CAN edit to show the subs surfaced but the game still shows them submerged Anyway the file is C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWX\data\Museum Open the Museum.mis in notepad |

So I had to move the other programes made by the GWX teams onto another drive that doesn't start with Program Files. It didn't bother my SH3 so I was lucky there. |
