Oberon, Bandicam may allow you to record Let's Plays with less of an FPS hit, although you'd have to pay 39 dollars for it.

Bandicam falls in with the rest of [insert capture softwares that aren't FRAPS],
tried it a while back, got some 15fps during recording compared to the 27-ish
I got in same situation with FRAPS.

Aye. Task Force blew up one of mine in the end and it took out a whole bunch of his infantry with it. I wish they weren't so easy for vehicles to see; that way they would've been more useful.

And now allow me to drag down the average graphics level of this thread even further...

It is the 31st century. The battle between the forces of who-knows for the planet of something or other begins near the most useless stretch of railway tracks in the Inner Sphere, thus setting off the bloodiest three minutes and twenty seconds in history.

Half of Task Force's formation is rapidly rendered immobile by fire from all sides, while Arclight's Skimmer hovercraft charges into the fray and gets itself blown up.

My light scouting force is turned into scrap metal. Task Force runs away to hide in the corner of the map. Arclight's Jenner spins around in place trying to get up.

Stuff blows up as Task Force reverses course and counterattacks.

Task Force's Victor displays its pilot's incredible skills as it tries to jump on the utterly immobile Preta, misses and loses a leg in the process.

Meanwhile, the ejected pilots of Arclight's destroyed 'Mechs sit down in the woods and get drunk.

Arclight's Motorized MG platoon arrives at the field, rapidly killing a Demolisher and an Atlas. My last 'Mech explodes under fire from enemy tanks.

The dreaded MG platoon challenges Task Force's BattleMaster in a head-on fight. Meanwhile, battle armour finishes off the crippled Jenner.

The BattleMaster runs away, but is destroyed anyway. The surviving four troops of the MG platoon face off against the battle armour squad and are promptly massacred.

That Battlemaster was pure evil... At least I got to kick it, and execute that Atlas.

I recall the Zeus taking a missile to the head, but what vaporised the Mad Cat?

This:
Quote:
Weapons fire for Seraph C-SRP-OE Eminus (Arctic Fox) Thunderbolt 20 at Mad Cat (Timber Wolf) I-UK (Arclight); needs 6, rolls 7 : Mad Cat (Timber Wolf) I-UK (Arclight) takes 20 damage to HD. Armor destroyed, SECTION DESTROYED, *** Mad Cat (Timber Wolf) I-UK (Arclight) DESTROYED by damage! ***
The Zeus actually got destroyed when the pilot ejected after its LRM ammunition went off due to a strafing run by one of my AeroSpace fighters.

Aaah, t'was the Mad Cat that took the missile to the head. Think I lost 2 others to missile ammo cook-off.

According to the log you lost the Zeus and the Dragon to ammunition explosions, the Mad Cat to a head shot and the Jenner and Lynx to Center Torso destruction.

Ah, I actually haven't used it for recording yet, but picked it up as a external frame limiter(something FRAPS needs) after a suggestion on a FSX forum.

"A curious game...the only way to win is to play as Europe..."

Epic naval battle is...confusing...

Dowly gets several buckets of sunshine

"That's a nice shade of green the US coastline has there..."

"Great, well done Hunter, now you've given Dowly and the Finns warm beer!"

"We launch. They see us, and they launch. Our birds pass each other in the air. Boom. What have you got?"
"Nuclear War."
"Nuclear Holocaust."

The End!
