Problem being the alternative is equally as spineless.

Music to both your ears I suspect.

UK 'fastest-growing Western economy'

Mean while anyone with half a brain can see its a short term booster shot then what? Close eye on 2015 and not forgetting Mr Ponzi's ticking housing scam bomb.

I wonder if they back the Tories...donations needed for the general election.

That's the worrying point for some....Labour rely far too heavily on union money and some of them are starting or threatening to reduce their contributions.

Things are getting worse:
Quote:
More than 400,000 people have lost Jobseeker's Allowance under new government sanctions aimed at ensuring they actively seek work.
Some 580,000 sanctions were handed down between October 2012 and June 2013, a 6% rise on the same period a year earlier, before rules were toughened.
Reasons for withdrawal of the benefit range from leaving a job voluntarily to failing to attend an interview.
The government said the sanctions were used as a deterrent.

The Government has warned that Labour's plans to introduce a 'living wage' could put 300,000 young people out of work.

Nonsense. For that to happen, there would have to be 300,000 young people in work.

Yes the rules stink but when your a claimant your in a contract with the government and you jump when they say.

Personally I would make changes where long term unemployed get a interview to every job they applied for which would be a better idea than this slap in the face and fiddle those figures that we have now.

When the border restrictions are relaxed next March I doubt there'll be any jobs to interview for and as for people working on after retirement age I'd withhold their state pension tbh until they do actually retire.

Yes, like for example someone who got sanctioned for pulling a fast one under the disability benefit reviews.
Reason for sanction....failed to complete the medical assessment.
Reason for failing to complete the assessment...cardiac arrest during the assessment.

Not that they actually bother to read what's been put down in the assessment a lot of the time. It's generally pot luck if your assessment is before or after the quota limit for the day.
