As many of you in this thread know, I have a paraplegic cat (due to Great Horned Owl attack) named Princess who scuttles (?) around the house at surprisingly high speed for an animal dragging her rear legs.

Anyway, new puppy (8 weeks old) is interested in said cat. Cat? Not so happy about a puppy, even though puppy is (for a brief while) smaller than she is. The puppy has been batted a few times (claws in, since I found no blood, but puppy yelped). Princess has even jumped (flopped?) off a sofa to attack, and has charged from 20 feet away, lol).

Now, puppy sees cat, and approaches. Princess stops, then meows loudly. Puppy stops in her tracks, and sits. I've now seen this several times every day. Cat meows, puppy sits. Cat will sometimes then go up and sniff puppy.

LOL.

So last night I meowed (as realistically as possible)... puppy sat.

Puppy school will be interesting when I show that she knows how to sit, but the command is "MEOW!"
