Dear co-worker from the 19th century:

yes, I am able to get emails, when it's an internal mail, you are on my whitelist, you are not blocked, I receive them.
I am happy that you found out the "confirm mail" function on your email client. Yes I get your mails, no, I do not confirm any mail I receive. If you call 5 minutes after you sent it, you get on my nerves. If you call twice, you can be sure that your wish lands on my internal low-priority-list.
And if you will call me a third time for the very goddamned same question, I will walk to your office, stuff you into your drawer, set the desk on fire and dance around it, singing "I Don't Like Thursdays!"

Peace!

9°C today, blue skies and sunshine - a lovely cool cycle in to work in tee-shirt and shorts.

Still umming and ahhing about getting a new road bike, I'll get about 30% off, but might wait until after Christmas as it'll also leave me with 30% less spare cash every month! Could do with increasing my hours...

Snow and rain here. I'll really die tommorow on IPA quake 2011 in this weather

And speaking of dying, here's Dropkick Murphys giving a little advice how a funeral should look like

I can't say, as you neither called, nor sent a confirmation fax, nor skyped, ICQed or send me a cell text message!

I had finally today the time to answer it - brief summary:
The revolution starts at noon! We'll meet at Vendor's house - he will provide us with schnaps to fill our water guns - then we can successfully overthrow the Swedish King and steal one of their Gotland class subs! No pasaran!

Today I test my woodworking skills, only to probably find out I have none.

The base for the display cabinets will be born today.

Just measure your lines straight, Make sure all your cuts are level, and don't bend the nails when driving them, either that or use screws. Unless you are going for dovetails, then I will say, don't break any of them, Dovetails stink to cut.

And watch trying to make precision cuts with a saw, unless your a wizard with it. I used to cut it slightly long then sand it down with a belt sander, for anything precision I had to do.

I think you will do fine, good luck. Deep down inside every man knows how to do carpentry.

Does your man-cave not already have a floor? They are commonly used to stand things on!

And Anze - I've died via IPA before, but I think my IPA differs from yours!

What about inventing a new desease that you can play to have tomorrow, which only can be cured by mouth-to-mouth insufflation by redheads in nurse costumes

Great, the German Gema-Nazis (musical rights society) don't even want me to go out in style - but at least they allow the live version here.
But here's one for you: how to run over people in style - with an R5: - you can learn from the great actors there how to play a traffic accident victim!

Don't use nails at all. Screws and only screws. Maybe some glue Drill a hole first, diameter of the hole should be the same as the diameter of the screw minus threads, so you don't rip the wood apart. And be gentle

And remember the Seaway rule of precision: measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe
