We have evacuated from Ponte Vedra Beach to my sisters house in Jacksonville. I have no idea how or if my house is still there. I hope that everyone is weathering this storm out of harms way.

OK, latest I'm seeing here says that it's now gotten North of Jacksonville, turning toward the East, and that it may turn South, and go back and hit the Bahamas ~AGAIN~??? Didn't have enough fun there earlier, I guess... dependent upon path, might go back toward Miami, or East toward Nassau... wow... strange one. Nicole is a hurricane - no wait, tropical storm - belay that, hurricane... whoops, back to storm... Matthew! Would you please quit teasing Nicole! This is a tough one to track and watch fellers and gals... I'm gonna do me some ~baseball~, and pray for all y'all...

I've got "thumper" over in the corner, sending out some low-freq hits for possible communications with Florida...

Hello, Florida...

Hello, Florida...

??

How you folks doin'?

Central Indiana is not the best place in the world for Major League Baseball updates, OR Hurricane Matthew updates... "Uh, yeah, in high school football last night, the Hawks beat up on the Flashes pretty good. Basketball practice last night went well, according to the team's senior forward. Tell us Donnie, how are you prepping for the start of the season?"... This morning: "Matthew chewed up pretty much a LOT of Florida lately, and has now been down-graded to a Category 1 storm, and is headed to the East. Our weather isn't what it was yesterday, that's for certain, Bob..."

Looking at the projected path of this thing,it appears to leave the coast and head south...Do you think that it might pick up strength and come back at you again???

A bit out of the blue here, but uh... stay safe in the storm.

I have some isolated, worked sound effects, if you are still looking:
- Echolot_ping.wav taken from JP listening gear recordings
- P09_$Gun_muzzle_flash.wav taken from footage of (land) howitzers
- Propeller_4_hyd.wav taken from JP listening gear
- Propeller_5_hyd.wav " " "
- Torpedo_Cruise_loop_hyd.wav " " "
- Vapor propeller 03.wav from Hunt for Red October

100 FalloftheRisingSun_Ultimate_v0.26_Beta_EN only.
28\29 March 1942, sub position 142E 29N, 58 MILES north of CorridorII.
If I listen at the sonar I can hear at least 1 ship, if the sonar idiot does a sweep he hears nothing, I never get close enough to see a ship before it crashes.
I've played this scenario 3 times now with the same result, I need some fixes for this bloody campaign or I'm going to get nowhere with it, have we got anything in the locker to help me out with this.?

At the moment, no. There are many bugs that are being worked on by members of our group. Unfortunately the work takes time, don't know what else to tell you.

Still no power and no cell phone at home so:

They're a page right out of history

Let's ride with the family down the street
Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet
When you're with the Flintstones
you'll have a yabba dabba doo time
a dabba doo time
You'll have a gay old time.
About 10 minutes of every two hours I can make a phone call (which will be terminated without notice) or text someone. The Internet doesn't work on either ATT or T-Mobile. At least one person has died because he had a heart attack and nobody could call for help.

But all told, we dodged a bullet. What I saw early Friday morning, that the inner eye wall had vanished and the outer one hadn't collected itself yet meant that the storm was significantly weakened as it passed by Daytona Beach.

So instead of 120 mph winds for 10 hours, we got 80 to 100 in gusts separated by lulls below hurricane strength.

My 2nd story porch faces south, and since the hurricane wind came from the east, north and west, It was in the wind shadow throughout the storm. I could open my sliding doors and sit out on the porch watching the mayhem. Made the two videos above during that process.

I lost a nice oak tree beside the house which obligingly just laid down in my driveway. It weighs about 5000 lbs so I'm glad it was so polite. Had it fallen on a car it would have crushed it all the way to the frame. No damage to the house at all. We lost power at 5:00 am Friday morning immediately after my last post and still don't have power, cable, cell service, water......you know, all the stuff that makes life worth living! A hot meal will tell me the storm is finally over.

Spent yesterday cleaning up the yard and cutting enough of the tree so my wife could back out of the driveway.

But right now, here's what keeps the coffee flowing:

And like Annie says when the wind is blowing and the trees are falling: as long as we have coffee we're just fine!
