I get the impression that you are going to have a very complex roster (and maybe clone?) structure in order to have the right skins on the right ships etc. I fear that this might not be compatible with any of the current supermods, which 99% of players tend to use these days.

Being able to make the ships compatible pre-emptively would save so much hassle. I know you have been asked this before, but please, please, please consider this seriously. Your work is some of the most outstanding and highly anticipated ever, and I'd hate to see it not work with existing mods.
Right now in order to solve the skin problem I'm thinking o freleasing two versions:

-A "LITE" version with a smaller filesize that is easier to install. It will not have cloned ships and will have vessels skinned in extremely common liveries that multiple countries would have used (black funnel w/ black hull, etc). There will be few, if any company logos, neutrality flags, and other distinctive features. This will be the preferred version for use with the supermods.

-A "FULL" version with many more skins and cloned ships so that each ship has accurate hull flags, text, and funnel colors where applicable. This will be much larger, and might not be used with the supermods for the time being because of filesize and compatibility issues.

I know how to modify the damage models to a degree; the biggest problem right now is the compartment issue. Sinking behavior is generally accurate but my tankers and engine-aft freighters still have their engines amidships. I will probably need help resolving this.

I just finished a replacement for another tanker that was unreleasable due to file corruption. Hopefully it's visually distinct enough from its parent unit (above) to make it interesting - I tried adding double masts, bridge cabs, and a different bow & stern, among other things. As with several other ships, there's a provision for hull text if it's needed. Tonnage is about 10,000 - 10,500. It will be used by Norway, Sweden, Japan, the UK, Netherlands, and Denmark.
