Not sure if this goes here, but it concerns RSRDC. Where can I get the Fixed CD Sonar RSRDC mod? I had it installed in SH4 and had to reinstall but I can't find my copy of the file. I've searched all over for it and can't find it.

Thanks.

I am going to the assigned areas, but RSRDC has the convoys and TF where I ain't. I understand why, but I thought I would yell, scream and stomp my feet anyway. I am now cruising the Marshall Islands, and just knocked off another freighter. Maybe a TF is over the horizon?
There's nothing where you are - there are only two or so Jap. bases that have shipping lanes running to them. I suggest that you check out the area between Palau and Truk. There is also a lot of tanker traffic in '43 to the W and SW of Truk from Palau and the straits that are to the S of Mindanao. Follow the war; RSRDC is pretty good at simulating the actual course of the Pacific war.

I would say that is true. Lurker did design the assignments around actual patrols.

I was patrolling where the mission assigned me to patrol. I cannot say much more than that. Armistead knows where all the TFs and convoys are as he must have written the history of WW2, but I do not want an advantage. I like the surpise/shock when I have to interrupt the crew's fishing hour by sounding battle stations.

Then linger around Kwajalein until you can accumulate the tonnage to complete your mission and act independantly.

Yes, I ever have the orders to patrol an area, but with flexibility to attack ships out of the area. Historically, the skippers took the orders with flexibility, too. Mush Morton in Wahoo never took the orders "a la letre". And he attacked ships in and out the area ordered.

Best regards.

The reference above is a RECENT mod fix to aircraft. Technically, it is not an update since it is not a TMO release. It is an optional mod fix that some may wish to incorporate into the game.

I mis-read his post. I thought he was looking for the RSRD update for TMO. I'm just learning to read.

I've tried searching, but what is this "Fixed CD Sonar for RSRDC" mod that Capt Wreckless mentioned a few posts above?

It changes the dates of arrival, and/or types of sonar for three IJN destroyers. The link is listed below.

Not likely, it's presently unmaintained.

The consensus is that RSRDC remains compatible with TMO 2.1 but that a number of changes made since TMO 1.9 have been lost.

There are several mods released by Tater which address Issues with sensors and radar/sonar; one mod by myself which partially restores TMO's agressive aircraft; and there is a good thread by Armistead on how to increase the crew ratings of the IJN escorts (which were lowered by RSRDC). These are the ones I know about.
