I watched "Dr No" for the first time the other day, and frankly I got bored. Tonight we watched one of those occasional Steven Segal films which are utterly brilliant... "Submerged"... and it just demonstrates how the bar has been raised; I thought it made the Bond adventure look like a 'B' movie.

Ben Affleck costs Warner Brothers studio $74 million ... bet they won't use him again. Movie about rum runners only brought in 16 million dollars.

Between Christmas and New years eve I got the time to see Independence day 2 and I agree on what most have said, it's not so good as the first one.
My sister told me that it had a weird endings and indeed it had. That because there will be a number 3. I'm sure there will. Markus |

Saw "Passengers" Tonight. Worth a view. I enjoyed it.
They could have gone much deeper into the psychology of the scenario, but they didn't. They could have gone much more hard core in the Sci Fi end of it, but they didn't. Seemed to be a nice balance between the two. But seriously, how hard is to get simple physics right? When your floating weightless in space, tears do not run down your face. NASA just recently had major issues with this, our eyes are not adapted to crying in space. But aside from a few gaffs like that in the physics department, good flick. |

Not a true movie this is actually two episodes of Space 1999 back to back with added scenes of the lunar commission which fits in well and the real year is 1999 not 2100.
Alien Attack is the episodes Breakaway and War Games. And here is another one this time UFO with four episodes neatly put together as a movie. Invasion UFO

I really liked that UFO series. Still think it has one of the better openings before each episode.

This is well worth a viewing and a fitting tribute to the late, great, Alan Rickman

Saw the Lego Batman movie yesterday.
I was not the only person my age in the movie theater. Ha. But really I thought this was a great movie. I had liked the Lego Movie that came out 3 years ago enough so I figured I'd go see this. Worth it. Especially if you're a fan of Batman, Legos, or just pretty good movies in general.

Watched this at home this morning. This excellent movie should strike a chord with many a Brit dependant on welfare benefits....best enjoyed if you're not politically biased.

I'd advise avoiding this one like the plague. I really can't fathom out what all the hype is about.
