How about making this one..? She's a real beauty!

Its the old Norwegian coastal liner (Hurtigruten) "D\S LOFOTEN",
Here is the info:
In service Bergen-Kirkenes, but from Sept.-1941 Hurtigruten's routes only went as far as Tromsø (due to the war). Lofoten was shelled by the Russian submarine K-2 (Utkin) on Sept. 12-1941, northwest of Vardø, Norway but was not hit.
Lofoten also reported torpedoes fired from the British submarine Satyr (Weston) on Sept. 30-1944, southwest of Bodø, but again she was not hit (Torpedo bounced off because of bad angle).
Towards the end of the war, several vessels in Hurtigruten had been laid up due to shortage of coal, until only 4 ships were left in the route, Lofoten being 1 of them.

Now that looks very similar to one Serg released in the merchant mod 2

It sure does, BBW! But i think there is still some minor details that separates these excellent ships. Is it possible to modify an already existing hull, and just make a new "top"? and if so; what type of ship has a hull that is most resembling to the coastal liner?

Depends on the length of the original ship really Seth

I'm working on tankers right now but it would be possible to convert some of the small freighters into passenger ships like that one.

This tanker is based on ships of 10,000-10,500 tons that several oil companies built right before the outbreak of the war. They were high-priority targets and several were torpedoed with heavy loss of life, including the "Arthur F Corwin" (46 dead) and "Narragansett" (49 dead). The survivors were gradually scrapped postwar after the new generation of supertankers made them obsolete.

It will be used by the UK, Norway, Sweden, Japan, US, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Panama, and Denmark. If time allows I will do an oiler conversion along with the normal, merchant navy vessel.

Each one more impressive than the last! Pleeease release before SH4 comes out. Furthermore, I beg you to let the GWX team in for the final weeks before release so that a GWX damage and campaign compatible version can be made.

I get the impression that you are going to have a very complex roster (and maybe clone?) structure in order to have the right skins on the right ships etc. I fear that this might not be compatible with any of the current supermods, which 99% of players tend to use these days.

Being able to make the ships compatible pre-emptively would save so much hassle. I know you have been asked this before, but please, please, please consider this seriously. Your work is some of the most outstanding and highly anticipated ever, and I'd hate to see it not work with existing mods.

Indeed Boris
I would dearly love to see them soon before SHIV hits the shelves
Would require quite a bit of campaign work methinks to get them all in as you have shown
Still with that many ships it should be possible for some nations to lose current ships
IE the C2/3 and T2/3 that everyone has and didnt lol
In favour of some these older more generic looking ships
